CFD Modelling of Radiation Exposure from Inhalation of Radon Decay Products During Showering

Radon is the most harmful natural contaminant in indoor atmosphere of buildings. The noble gas, after cigarette smoke, biggest cause lung cancer, and today study its diffusion, distribution, concentration around world has attracted many researchers field radiation protection environmental health. Typically, output data obtained from traditional methods measuring radon buildings limited to information on average concentration. Although these are highly valuable identifying with a high risk radon, it can be misleading identify real danger for residents This aims investigate effects water temperature flow rate distribution inside showers. Numerical simulations were conducted using CFD. Also, was determined by detector AlphaGUARD used as input CFD simulation. results showed that variations have more influence than changes temperature. Experiments performed concentrations at different times shower room monitor Scout Plus. annual effective dose also investigated.
